(CAMERON) Cameron city officials have announced a chlorine burnout for their water system.
Beginning this week, the City of Cameron will be using a chlorine only solution to disinfect the water system. Normally, the City said they use a combination of chlorine and ammonia to treat the water. Using chlorine only means the smell, taste, and color of the water may be affected. However, City officials say the water is safe for consumption. The regular combined chlorine-ammonia solution will resume June 30th. Anyone with questions should call City Hall.
