(AUSTIN) Texas Driver License offices will re-open across the state in waves.
Governor Greg Abbott on Thursday announced that Texas Department of Public Safety driver license offices would open beginning this month as part of a 4-phase plan to open all offices. In Phase 1, offices in the Northwest and West Texas regions may re-open with limited services beginning May 26th. Phase 2 will allow offices in the South and Central Texas regions to re-open beginning May 29th. This phase would allow offices in Milam, Lee, Falls, Williamson, and Bell Counties to open again. Phase 3 will let the North and Southeast Texas regional offices open. This would allow offices in Brazos, Robertson, and Burleson County to open. Customers are also expected to be allowed to schedule appointments for all offices beginning this summer. Details will be announced later.
