(MILAM COUNTY) While schools across the area are working under online instruction, several are still offering food to their students.
Cameron ISD Superintendent Kevin Sprinkles said the district will provide grab-and-go meals weekdays during the school closure. Meals will be provided for Pre-K through 12th grade students between 10:30AM and Noon each weekday at the following locations: OJ Thomas, Simon-George Hall, Cameron Elementary and Junior High, and Yoe High School. A student must be present to get a meal.
Milano ISD is providing meals to students on a 1st come, 1st serve basis at the Milano Junior High and High School. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:30AM and lunch from 11:30AM-12:30PM. Delivery is available for those without transportation, but you must call to arrange it at 512-455-9333. Thorndale ISD will continue free curbside meal pick up for anyone under 19 years old every Tuesday from 11:30AM-12:30PM at Thorndale Elementary. Buckholts ISD is doing grab-and-go lunches from 11AM-12:30PM at Buckholts ISD cafeteria.
Belton and Temple ISD are both offering free breakfast and lunch to all their students. Holland ISD is giving free lunches to those under 18. Rogers ISD is offering grab-and-go snack lunches to kids under 18. Somerville ISD will serve lunches to students weekdays from 11AM-1PM and drive-through service will be available on the bus loop near the cafeteria. Snook ISD will provide lunches to students at Snook Elementary weekdays from 11AM-1PM. Caldwell ISD is providing free lunches to kids under 18 from 11AM-1PM at Caldwell Intermediate School, the Elementary School, Middle School, and Bus Barn. Hearne ISD has grab-and-go meals available from 10AM-12:30PM weekdays at Hearne Elementary. Franklin ISD is offering lunches to Pre-K through 12th grade students in the Pre-K circle drive behind the Elementary School. Rosebud-Lott ISD is providing breakfast and lunch to students from 10:30AM-12:30PM. Parents and students can visit TexasSchools.gov to find meal locations for students in need.
