(CAMERON) A violent criminal is off the streets today after being arrested here in Cameron on Monday.

In a press release from Cameron Police Sgt. Kris Stringer, Cameron Police and Bell County Sheriff`s deputies captured 21-year-old Atorious Marquis Williams, also known as Li`l Man. Williams, from Temple, was 1 of 2 men wanted in connection to a mid-September aggravated robbery and shooting in Cameron. At this time, 24-year-old James Roy Whitfield of Temple, also known as Snoopy, remains at large and is considered extremely dangerous.

Cameron Police Chief Lonnie Gosch, Sgt. Stringer, Sgt. Anthony Maskunas, and Officer Amanda Duncan responded about 2:40PM September 13th to reports of an aggravated robbery in the 1600 block of N. Crockett in Cameron. Authorities arrived at the location to find a shooting victim, 28-year-old Keelon Williams of Calvert. Williams had been shot in the head in what is believed to be a drug deal gone bad. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators interview witnesses who told them Snoopy and Li`l Man traveled to Cameron to meet Williams. During the meeting, investigators learned that the pair robbed the victim at gunpoint. Atorious Williams is thought to be the man that pulled the trigger, shooting Keelon in the face. Cameron Police thanked the efforts of the US Marshals, Texas Rangers, Bell County Sheriff`s Office, and Temple Police in working together to investigate and apprehend the suspect. Again, at this time, a 2nd suspect, James Roy Whitfield, remains at large and is considered extremely dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the authorities.
